I just learned the other day that the Heritage Foundation supports the unitary executive, a doctrine whose proponents argue the Constitution creates a “hierarchial, unified executive department under the direct control of the President,” so Congress is really Arm Candy to the Executive Bunch Branch. I come to this conclusion because I believe yesterday the VeePee more or less pleaded with the audience to go ply their influential clout to get a FISA bill passed that has the Prez’s approval. This would mean no accountability or investigation for the domestic warrantless surveillance program in place over the last several years. WOW. I don’t know what to say after learning this news, but I certainly won’t say, “Gee, sounds like someone wants to cover-up any wrong-doing by our most High Role Models!” I’m also not going to say, “After all, who in their right mind wants a “lessons learned” investigation in order to find out what went wrong regarding our guaranteed rights under our Constitution?”

Last but not least, I’m never going to say, “isn’t it obvious if we haven’t had another terrier attack in the US since 911 that what we’re doing about it right now is working!? “

Okay, all together now, “we don’t need no more stinkin’ laws which curtail our rights!”
