Leader of GOP convention resigns after Myanmar ties reported
05.19.08 (7:44 pm)   [edit]
The coordinator of the GOP convention resigns after Newsweek report on his firm’s ties to Myanmar junta (o boy!).  Doug Goodyear picked by the John McCain campaign to head the 2008 Republican National Convention resigned Saturday when Newsweek reported online that his lobbying firm, DCI Group, used to represent the Myanmar junta (can you believe?).  Well, at least they caught this before the convention.  Only remaining question is why is McCain’s campaign using a lobbyist of the 527 kind when that’s one of the things McCain has been denouncing for years in his battle for campaign finance reform?  What is wrong with this picture?  Someone didn’t have their Thinking cap on.

Vice Adm. Stufflebeem gives false official statement - should cost him his job & rank stripped
05.19.08 (7:43 pm)   [edit]

Fair & balanced reporting by Chris Amos, Navy Times

What’s regrettable about the story of Vice Adm. John Stufflebeem’s fall from grace is that after he was caught lying be began a campaign to discredit the woman he had the affair with indicating that she was lying. He further tightened the noose by replying with a false (official) statement that he “would not knowingly give false or misleading testimony, as it would run counter to the primary ethical value and character by which I have lived throughout my career as a Naval Officer.”

The arrogance and audacity of Stufflebeem’s rebuttal to the truth is astonishing for such a professional man although not uncommon for the New Moral Man found lying through his teeth.  It’s the audacity at which these fallen men (and women where appropriate) think they can deflect blame onto someone else other than themselves that’s so galling.

This flaw in the New Moral Man is something to be reckoned with, the least of which is making them accountable for their actions by firing them. Then it’s up to the moral and religious leaders to tackle this problem head-on in the public forum along with condemnation of unethical behavior as a whole. The next step is to address unethical behavior in the school system and in the home - starting with the parents.

How else are we to address this national problem?

Another Illustrious Leader caught doing wrong - Rep. Vito Fossella (R-NY)
05.19.08 (7:38 pm)   [edit]

Republicans - Pride before the fall

Is it just me or does it seem like every week another Illustrious Leader is caught doing something wrong? These are our role models, folks. Top down morality brought to you by top hypocrites. Tonight, Republican Rep. Vito J. Fossella’s secret love-child was revealed; this, after being stopped last week for drunken-driving arrest. Here he is, a married man, father of 3 children, who now has to explain to his children the shame he’s brought upon them. Mind you, he just declares “My personal failings and imperfections have caused enormous pain to the people I love and I am truly sorry,” and goes about his world - impervious to the absolute devastation he’s caused those he purports to “love” - those loved ones who live in the fishbowl of political arena - and absorb the brunt of any parental wrong-doing under the public eye. What man would do this to his own children? Is this the kind of man you want representing your best interests? I’m sorry to have to rock your world with my angst bellow but isn’t it time we clean house and get rid of those who sully American values? O, by the way, did I say he was Republican? (/rant)

Once-again memos once-again show Clinton's untruthiness
05.19.08 (7:34 pm)   [edit]

Once again, long after their usefulness, documents suddenly appear and “the truth will out.” Democrat Sam Dash who served as ethics adviser to Whitewater Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr, donated, upon his death in 2004, his documents from the Whitewater investigation to the Library of Congress. And guess what? These documents spell out the untruthiness of our presidential candidate - SURPRISE!!!

NOT.

Many of us who followed the whole excruciating Whitewater investigation could point out inconsistencies, question the convenience of lost documents and billing records (of which were “found” in the White House 2 years after the investigation), and her denial in having had anything to do with the failed Madison project known as Castle Grande. BZZZT! Wrong. Of course she did. Funny how putting several documents together regarding several key players of this “what? Another cover-up?” foolishness might find ya. And may I just remind people that Independent Counsel Robert W. Ray, who took the reins from Starr, said at the end of his investigation that he chose not to indict as was his prerogerative. He said at the time there was reason to press charges for lying under oath. You chose to go into denial. And all the players scurried to bury this story and exalt the Clintons. For shame. Makes ya want to scream. :O

Ohio A.G. says 'forget it' to resignation request by Governor
05.19.08 (7:06 pm)   [edit]

A.G. Marc Dann rolls up his sleaze to get back to work…
[The way things have been going these days, the A.G. will probably captcha a Metal of Honor, the victim offs herself, and the A.G. goes back to sniffing chair seats.]

First of all, what’s up with this crap? Why do elected officials refuse to step down when they’re caught doing wrong? A.G. Marc Dann, when asked to resign by the Governor replied, “I am in the office, have rolled up my sleeves and am working on behalf of the people of State of Ohio. Our work is too important to do anything but our jobs today.”

Oh yeah? How about carrying out the duties of your office with professionalism, honesty and dignity? Oh, that’s right. It’s already been shown that you can’t manage that - by your repulsive behavior. Nothing is more important than your state to insist on integrity and behavior beyond reproach. Did it ever dawn on you, A.G., that people vote for elected officials with the idea in mind that their candidate represents their best choice (from a barrel of oinkers) given available facts? Now, the fact that a lot of Illustrious Leaders keep their dirty secrets from fresh air and disinfection by sunshine only means that if the People catch you doing something they don’t approve of, they expect you to blush with shame and then l.e.a.v.e. so someone with more professional behavior and moral integrity can replace you. What is so hard to understand about this expectation from the People you signed up to serve??

I’m waiting..

UPDATE:  Attorney General March Dann resigns.

Pilot of passenger jet terrifies 143 with steep 10K ft climb
05.19.08 (7:03 pm)   [edit]

An Air France pilot terrified 143 passengers while allegedly showing a boy in the cockpit  (thought this was a no-no post-9/11)  how to roll plane side-to-side, then needs to climb 10,000 ft to miss hitting oncoming plane.

If this story is proven to be true, then this is another example of how people, professional no less, have stopped using their minds and have let the amoeba in them take over, truly.

Judge and jury - who should they be?
02.07.08 (2:17 am)   [edit]
"The Sentencing Commission acted one day after the Supreme Court ruled that federal judges have discretion to hand down more lenient sentences for crack cocaine defendants than those recommended by federal sentencing guidelines."

The rest of the article can be read here . Now, here’s where I have a problem with the Machine. Who gets to be a criminal’s judge and jury? I’ve been taught that one who finds themselves on the wrong side of the law facing sentencing for their crime, is afforded the benefit of being judged in the perpetrator’s district and by a jury of their peers. In other words, by those who live in the community in which the criminal lives, judged by the community’s moral standard and residents, not by a distant entity of the Machine.

One of the problems we’re having in our society is a large segment of our people are addicts, not “criminals”; and these addictions can be to drugs, cigarettes, gambling, sex, umm, shoes, or whatever. Our prison system, fast becoming a cottage industry, has become recycling centers. The underlying problem is never addressed or corrected. Thus, an addict labeled as “criminal” is high-falutin’ poppycock. It guarantees recidivism for the untreated addict. Personally, I think people who “break laws” for certain behaviors should be treated for their addiction rather than caged. Because of my outlandish view, I have to believe that I’m the blessed vessel for common sense. (/sarcasm)

If we, as a nation, continue to pass ourselves off as a Christian nation of high morals and conservative compassion, we best learn what it entails to be a civil society, don’tcha think?

FISA role - would you like fries with that?
02.06.08 (12:32 am)   [edit]
I just learned the other day that the Heritage Foundation supports the unitary executive, a doctrine whose proponents argue the Constitution creates a “hierarchial, unified executive department under the direct control of the President,” so Congress is really Arm Candy to the Executive Bunch Branch. I come to this conclusion because I believe yesterday the VeePee more or less pleaded with the audience to go ply their influential clout to get a FISA bill passed that has the Prez’s approval. This would mean no accountability or investigation for the domestic warrantless surveillance program in place over the last several years. WOW. I don’t know what to say after learning this news, but I certainly won’t say, “Gee, sounds like someone wants to cover-up any wrong-doing by our most High Role Models!” I’m also not going to say, “After all, who in their right mind wants a “lessons learned” investigation in order to find out what went wrong regarding our guaranteed rights under our Constitution?”
Last but not least, I’m never going to say, “isn’t it obvious if we haven’t had another terrier attack in the US since 911 that what we’re doing about it right now is working!? “
Okay, all together now, “we don’t need no more stinkin’ laws which curtail our rights!”

02.05.08 (6:27 am)   [edit]

My dear Friends and Visitors,

Ta-DA!  T'is me, alright!  I'm popping back up here on tblog as it's come to my attention that some new things are a-happenin' here on tblog,, so as not to look like a complete stu-nod but rather an enlightened *sniff* bean counter.  *snort*

Yes, yesss.  I've been gone much too long!  Many, many walkabouts and muse-a-logs and pout-a-bouts after misadventures in MichiganSucks, too many to go into at the present time, so I beg your indulgence to ease back into my prior life here at tblog, after which I may begin a tear of attention-seeking missives about the misadventures of being a stunt man.  heh heh

I'm glad to be back..!

Ode to Woman - Final Revision
07.31.07 (1:37 am)   [edit]

Friends and dear readers, see note at end of post, please..:)

She rode in on rare Castle Rock
air, head tilted toward a dream

vision voiced, bell-ring clear
& fate fixed
parched labor long now drawn
into life's rich, vibrant stream

refreshed and strong
purposed longings revived
foreseen off-on horizon's edge
will claim her frail albatross
triumphant,

tacit strength anew, knowing
she steers her own fortune
twinkle-eyed and amiss in bliss
(she held her gifts out of sight,
like stars aglow for midnight)

eye-espied,
she stoops to a broken stem
lifts life's trembling rose
engrossed
purses lips to bloom

misses not its message lost
in heart-felt gloom
boldly keep a keen eye
for far off storms approach -
keep adjuvant ear to ground
life being like that
will ferry no linger nor look back
she preens it

She is on a different track
at life's breach
where no man stands for long

worn reins in a pair of hands
a cry a sigh a heart expands
a steady steed he goes
to a place where no man knows
it set a steel-eyed course

for far off fertile land
where a rare wind blow
she stops
clear the air of heady thought
draws an eye over, high above Rock
to a glide pattern old Eagle Eye
plays to

catching fetching golden rays
soon to settle in its rest
far from eyes that stare him down
she, in wingless gaze task to test
with hope to rote
traces its glorious flight to nest

she owes no man quarter
she lives to give
reins the gain of many returns
her gifts lost on those who lack
life's bright and heady light
hidden in plain view
for those who know
innocence is soul sight

her purpose hands expand on Rock
the earth nods
rowing white waters the river sings
earth curtsies
follow her rhythm
congo-line
down to Sublime
no simple way to read her soul
than to walk through it

this, a soft-footed, brown-haired
lithe-limbed warble-voiced bird;
it is why the earth loves through her
hands, like panned gold
it is how she knows the silence
running beneath hop-scotched snow

she flows

self-taught to twinkle,
this one knows. . . .
no permanent perch
she learns, she flows
better to scope the swoop like Eagle Eye
harmonize her nest
she learns, she earns
with eye to eventual rest

there is a name for this
hidden within a miracle
hidden within a name.
do you hear it
you shall know it

sound of a clear clean heart
plum of nature's best
it's ridden the river
been put to the test
pools out a mind for all
who thirst, will drink
too deeply
for all life's hurt

will wear pain like a cross
love like a curse
fought in a breach left
where no man stands

She's of the Ancient Ones
she's one of the blessed
makes your life a purpose
as she makes your life a nest
purpose makes for perfect life
and she your perfect rest

This is a miracle
this, a name anew
This a miracle
the One who Calls for You

Surfin' the 'Net 4 You
07.28.07 (12:10 am)   [edit]

I'm a long-time proponent of getting involved in the issues that most irk us - it helps to stave off the exploding head syndrome. heh heh I've come across a number of sites that float my boat enough to ask my readers to come aboard and journey with me. My favorite site for the moment is News Trust, and to paraphrase their online blurb, it's a citizen news service dedicated to good journalism online, featuring the best news from hundreds of trusted online sources. The best feature is that members rate the news stories on journalistic quality and this gives me the satisfaction of having my say about an article's veracity, balance and/or fairness. Another thing I like about News Trust is that I can choose between a quick review or a longer review based on the amount of time I can devote. Plus, it's one of the most well-thought-out and comprehensive interactive website's I've come across in a loooong time! SourceWatch is a website centered on government, Congress, and all things political, dedicated to citizen journalism that gives the member a way to furnish and/or correct information in the public domain. Chock full of information! I highly recommend Law.com and JURIST if you're an armchair lawyer. You'd be surprised how much information is offered on these 2 sites. OpenTheGovernment.org is a website coalition of consumer advocates, good-government groups, library groups, labor organizations, environmentalists and journalists who are dedicated to reversing the government's pattern of secrecy. OpenTheGovernment.org and People For the American Way Foundation released their new report entitled Government Secrecy: Decisions Without Democracy 2007, which shows how executive power has drastically increased while accountability has diminished. Lastly, it's my pleasure to once again point out the Sunlight Foundation, a website that makes it possible for citizens to learn more about Congress and their elected representatives, help reduce corruption, assist in demanding more transparency and accountability from government, and lastly, attempts to restore public trust in our governmental institutions using technology and "the power of the Internet" to accomplish these ends. Check out these sites. You won't be disappointed!

Update from a Pooped Out PuC :)
07.07.07 (3:51 pm)   [edit]

Dear Friends,

I thought I ought to pop in here and explain my absence:

I'm Home at Last.  I'm Home at Last.  Sweet Jesus, thank you, I'm Home at Last!

Not that I have anything against MichiganSucks! but being away from home for half a year is a bit of a, er, uhm,  biatch, okay?  Yell  It'll take me a few days to unwind and unfold my arms and legs from their petrified position, then I'll be on a spider kill, brown well-water pipe flush (all the water in the toilets evaporated while I was gone,  heh),  a cycle of sickling waist-high weeds,  emptying the icebox of green rot, pitching out freezer contents because who knows if we had a long electricity outage while gone?, and on and on it goes.  So, please bear with me while I regain my sanity and secure the homestead before getting back into the rhythm here.

Thank you, Friends!

Regarding my article on the chihuahua's POPPED-OUT EYEBALL fiasco... :(
06.27.07 (3:56 pm)   [edit]

Wow. I haven't checked in here for days because of health problems and I'm taken aback at the response this article has received.  I've read all your responses and have come to the conclusion that the most recent comments left by bg, waystone, and Lindy are really spot-on. After some serious thought and remorse for posting the article in the first place, I realize I was indeed wrong to jump to conclusions about the story, even though, at the time, it seemed there were people who questioned his ethics and treatment prior to this incident.  I'm deleting the post. I also want to publicly apologize to Dr. Joshua Winston, the veterinarian involved, for jumping to conclusions.  I was blinded by my own love for chihuahuas, especially my own Tess, and let my emotions over rule my reason.

One of the reasons I enjoy the TBLOG community so much is because you keep me honest, and you do it in a dignified, uninflammatory manner.  I can honestly say this engenders much respect for everyone here and reinforces my belief that I have many genuine friends here.  It means a lot to me to know I can trust you all with my deepest thoughts, we can disagree among ourselves, even make mistakes in judgment, and still show each other respect and tolerance.

You guys are the best.

IMMIGRATION BILL is being BULLDOZED through SENATE!!
06.27.07 (3:17 pm)   [edit]

Why is the IMMIGRATION bill being rushed through the Senate this week?  I'm watching C-SPAN2 right now and something is WRONG.  Call it intuition or 'phenomenon' but what is happening right now seems to be the result of coersion or some real, strong (lethal?) arm twisting. Could it possibly be through the info gleaned from the illegal wiretapping over the last years that have put senators in the hot seat by their conduct susceptible to blackmail and bribery.*  [One of the reasons illegal wiretapping has to go through legal channels is because anyone, including Congress, can be bribed or blackmailed from on high through information obtained by unlawful wiretapping.  It's too bad this isn't covered by our media.  I hope some of you will call your representatives about this.] What do certain VIPs have over the Senate as far as "dirt" on certain senators that may have been brought into play in order to push through any legislation that the American people have strongly opposed?  AMNESTY is NOT an accepted option for Americans.  Now the majority leader, Sen. Harry Reid, D-NV, is only allowing certain amendments to come to the floor that were put together last night.  Senators are complaining about not having the opportunity to read these amendments.

With all the unsettling issues going on in the country at this time, why did they even decide to pick up this issue THIS WEEK?

Is it because the body politick knows Americans have a so-called 15-minute attention span and think the matter has already been settled and put to rest?  And won't be re-visited until next year - as it had been announced through the media?

What makes our administration believe that this amnesty deal will succeed when the last one was totally ignored?

Who benefits, and for what reason, from this bill being pushed through this week?  Does it have something to do with the upcoming '08 presidential election?  It was revealed last year that the number of people in a state determines how many representatives a state has, and who knows whether the illegal immigrants are actually voting in our elections?

We have just learned about Californian Zoila Meyer who won election to the City Council of Adelanto who may be deported for illegally voting.  Why?! Because she's not an American citizen!! She never became a citizen after being brought to this country from Cuba when she was a year old.

How many other illegal immigrants have been voting in our national elections?

What political party benefits by these possible illegal votes?

The Party that takes up their cause!!  That's who!

Lawsuit: Katrina Pets Executed
Investigations, Two Criminal Indictments and a Lawsuit Put the Heat on St. Bernard Parish's Sheriff's Office

Read the article here

This story about pets that were  ordered to be left behind by law enforcement during Hurricane Katrina against owners wishes is part of a bigger, much bigger problem facing America today.  This story is about the summary execution of those pets ordered left behind and the brutal mentality creeping over our law enforcement in today's world.

The way I see it, being so dependent on .gov and caving in when the .gov wants to play nanny with us emboldens them to such an extent that tragedy is bound to happen.  Why?  Because the .gov doesn't have our best interests in mind and our law enforcement is not legally bound to *protect* us.  This is a dangerous combination, my friends.  There's something terribly wrong with an over-bloated, money-strapped .gov using incompetent agencies to "rescue" us and over-zealous, Rambo wanna-be LEO's to "protect" us in the event of disasters.

So, my question is, what the heck did people do 50, 75, 100 years ago when they knew big trouble was a-comin'?  I'll tell you *what*.  They TALKED to each other about HOW they were going to HANDLE the problem and they KNEW they could COUNT ON their neighbors, friends and family after the disaster for whatever they needed to survive until they could make it on their own steam.  Well, well, well.  Imagine that?!  People helping people.

We, as a people, can't count on the goodwill of neighbors anymore because there ain't anymore goodwill to go around.  This bugs the crap out of me, because I'm of the generation where this behavior among people was the norm.

What we have now is a society who doesn't even know who their neighbors are , for pete's sake. Who among us began dividing us?  Who in our midst uses in-your-face, antagonistic confrontation in their daily walk through life?  What leaders among us strive to alienate, separate and divide their little clone cliques?  Who are the Illustrious Leaders among us who are excellent role models?  Where are the teachers who have a passion in their belly to teach kids how to be productive role-models in their communities?  Who in our midst, in positions of leadership, are espousing piety and religious adherence while doing what our Creator finds despicable? Who among us are saying, "ENOUGH, ALREADY!" to the take-over of our God-given rights to govern over ourselves, our children, our property, our finances, and our decisions about how we choose to live our lives - right or wrong?  Who?

These are some questions we should all be asking ourselves in an attempt to get the monkey (.gov) off our backs, take responsibility for ourselves while being God's servant to others.  To do no harm.  To do what's necessary to restore order, civility, generosity, and goodwill towards all men.  To do.

And, why not?

If we don't start facing up to our failure in carrying out our individual responsibilities in life and keep turning to  .gov to "rescue" us from every natural occurrence that comes with living, there may come in our time, when things will be so far out of our hands, that it won't be just our pets who are executed when we stand our ground over who rules our lives.

This Hurricane Katrina debacle should be our wake-up call to arms to stop .gov interference in our lives.  Our Constitution guarantees we have the RIGHT to be LEFT ALONE.

All we have to do is *CLAIM* it!

Even if it's over and over and over again.

It will always be over and over again.

It's a matter of eternal vigilence.

What's With the Dog Bans & Restrictions?
06.01.07 (1:02 am)   [edit]
Here's a story making the blog rounds that caught my eye.  There are dog breeds that are being banned in certain areas of the country.  OK.  I'm thinking it must be the pitbull's.  Nope.  There are 75 breeds of dogs that are banned somewhere in the United States.  I was flabbergasted to learn the breeds.  You may be, too.  Here's the list, followed up by several blogs on the subject that are a MUST read because the bans have to do with very powerful animal rights organizations who are trying to completely eliminate dogs from our households.  At least that's what I glean from the overall information.  What's your take on it?  The blog links provide excellent information on this subject and it's more complicated than I first thought.  It comes down to this; the fight is explained in terms of the dog being the "property" of the owner vs. the dog is an entity with its own "rights" - and it's more interesting than it appears on the surface.  Have a look-see  :)

Proposed Reductions include almost 80 percent cut of $380 million to Community Oriented Police Services (COPS) for this year alone.

O, Joy. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that we are in deep doo-doo if the COPS funds of $380M is axed for this year. For those of you who are not familiar with the COPS program let me just say it's one of ex-President Bill Clinton’s pet programs put in place by Congress and was responsible for cutting crime from 1993 to 2000. When President W came into office, he began cutting funds for this successful program. But that’s not all. The Byrne Justice Assistance Grants (JAG) program which supports local governments in a wide range of crime prevention and crime control initiatives, received over $400 million in 2005, is now slated for elimination. –oo-That’s right. Your eyes are fine.

Alriiiighty, then. Some of you know where I’m going with this (cue arched eyebrow). There’s numerous studies to indicate some of the reasons for crime – poverty, social environment and family structure. These can be broken down into the following areas, for: poverty - lack of education, unemployment, poor housing, prejudice and lack of hope; social environment – inequality, not sharing power, lack of support to families and neighborhoods, lack or inaccessibility to social services, lack of leadership, low value placed on children and health, too much television; family structures - not putting children first, dysfunctional family conditions, inadequate parenting, conflict between parents, parents involved in criminal activity, lack of communication, respect and responsibility, abuse and neglect of children, violence.

Now for the big questions: How many of the above elements would play out in illegal immigration? Can we fairly say that, in general, illegal aliens face a fair number of the known causes for crime? How can our Illustrious Leaders not see the connection between crime and illegal immigration?

If our .government plans on letting more illegal people into our country, but drastically curtails funding for COPS and Byrne grants, isn’t the .government setting us up for running amok at some point? What happens when the majority of the population runs amok?

Hmm?

Does Russia Still Pose a Threat?
05.18.07 (3:29 pm)   [edit]
CIA myth, CIA history
review as written by J. R. Nyquist
courtesy of Financial Sense.com

J. R. Nyquist's review of Tennent H. Bagley book, Spy Wars: Moles, Mysteries and Deadly Games

Some readers may imagine that all of this is irrelevant. It is old news, belonging to the distant past. The Cold War is over. But that’s not what we see today, with the hammer and sickle reappearing on the Russian flag, with Latin America and Africa turning to Marxism, with Europe drifting into neutrality, with America being vilified around the world, with Russia and China forming a new military alliance. Something very bad is developing out of America’s false hopes and the CIA’s falsified history. America was warned of these events far in advance. The warning came from Anatoliy Golitsyn, a former Major in the KGB. Although Bagley does not mention Golitsyn’s warnings to the West, the Nosenko legend has been used to discredit Golitsyn and his late sponsor within the CIA, James Angleton. In terms of Russian grand strategy, the Nosenko legend has been used to claim that Golitsyn was mentally ill, that his predictions and analyses are paranoid and valueless. Setting Golitsyn aside, Bagley’s intuition prompts him to wonder if Nosenko’s lies might open the way to “a continuum of treason that might still be active today.”

The KGB is alive and well. Its methods include terror, murder and subversion. Its goal is the old goal; and I believe this is the context for Bagley’s “continuum of treason.” After the collapse of Communism, as reported by Bagley, a German editor complained to KGB Col. Oleg Nechiporenko about the manuscript of a former KGB mole who spent twenty years inside Radio Liberty, saying that the mole’s account lacked sufficient detail. Nechiporenko chided the editor for being naïve. According to Nechiporenko the mole’s operation “was part of a link, a part of an operation…. And this operation isn’t completed.” Furthermore, any full accounting might tell the CIA “what the KGB was doing today and tomorrow. The KGB is not dead.”

What does it mean to say that the sword and shield of the Communist Party Soviet Union is “not dead”? This statement signifies much more than an ongoing “continuum of treason.” It signifies a future destructive sequence that America is not prepared to counter. Here we stumble upon an incomplete operation. It is a work in progress. In fact, the Soviet Union itself continues to exist in disguised form. The satellite countries also continue, in shabby democratic drag. The entire strategy of the United States rests on a false foundation.

I think this review by J.R. Nyquist of  former CIA chief of Soviet bloc counterintelligence, Tennent H. Bagley's book Spy Wars: Moles, Mysteries and Deadly Games is spot-on and a wise read for anyone who is under the delusion that Russia poses no threat to the U.S. --PuC
